Superintendent Les Fujitake has been appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Group (GWDB), which works to strengthen the skills of Minnesota’s workforce.
The GWDB represents key leaders from business, education, labor, community-based organizations, and government. It has statutory responsibility under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to advise the Governor on opportunities and key workforce strategies for the state.
Fujitake is the only school superintendent on the GWDB, which is chaired by Bloomington resident Laura Beeth, vice president of talent acquisition for Fairview Health Systems.
