Oak Grove Middle School to stage ‘Madagascar’

Oak Grove Middle School Theater Company will present “Madagascar” March 8-10 at 7 p.m. and March 10 at 3 p.m. in the school auditorium, 1300 W 106th St.



Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, this fun musical features favorite characters Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and more as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey.

The show features 79 students as cast and crew, stagecraft and costuming by Kevin Doheny, musical direction by Bryan Blessing, choreography by Emily Morse and Zach Filkins, technical direction by Matt Delfs and sets by Dohn Thibault.



Tickets are $7 and can be purchased from the school office at 952-681-6603 or at the door.  

A preview performance for seniors will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7 with coffee and cookies served at 9 a.m. A suggested donation of $3 will be accepted at the door.
