McIntyre receives MASE New Special Education Leader Award

The Minnesota Administrators for Special Education (MASE) has named Jennifer McIntyre, Executive Director of Special Education, as the recipient of the 2018 New Special Education Leader Award. McIntyre received the award for her commitment to students with disabilities and their families and her active involvement in professional and community affairs.
MASE retiree Jan Ormasa wrote in her nomination letter, “She is an ethical and reflective leader who strives for the highest learning standards for all students while advocating for students with disabilities. Every single day with every student with a disability, Jennifer is passionate and committed.”
"I am proud to serve Bloomington students and families,” said McIntyre. “I am fortunate to work with district leaders and staff who are dedicated to building educational programs for all of our students while keeping their individual needs at the forefront of our decisions."
McIntyre has been with Bloomington Public Schools since July 2015. She will receive the award at the MASE Spring Conference on March 9.
